A budapesti székhelyű Fanzine (külföldi megjelenéseknél The Budapest Fanzine) zenekart 1996-ban alapítottuk zenész és szerzőtársaimmal.

A Képző- és Iparművészeti Iskola képzőművész hallgatóit összeolvasztó NES után (ahol szintén szövegíró/énekesi posztot töltöttem be) a Képzőművészeti Főiskola alatt működő Fanzine is az angolszász indie hagyományokat követte. 1997-ben elkészítettük a NEON című albumot, 1999-ben pedig felvettük a zeneileg talán legösszetettebb és legkiforrottab MINDEN című anyagot, amelynek vizuális megjelenése egyébként több szakmai díjat is elnyert (Glatz Oszkár Díj – 1999, Tervezőgrafikai Biennálé Fődíj – 2000). A Mindenről kimásolt angol nyelvű Enteriőr (Interior) című dal szerepelt a német nemzetiségű Firestation Tower Records „You Thought It Was The End Of The World When The Rain Ruined Your Hair” című 2000-ben nemzetközi terjesztésű válogatáslemezén is. A zenekar 2000-ben oszlott fel, a tagok olyan formációkban folytatták zenei pályafutásukat, mint az Amber Smith, vagy az Óriás.

Fanzine music group (outside of Hungary: The Budapest Fanzine) was founded in 1996 by myself and fellow musicians and authors.

Following the NES music project, which brought together students from the Collage of Fine Arts and Applied Design (in which I also participated as a singer/songwriter), I got involved with Fanzine, a band also finding musical inspiration in the British indie scene. In 1997 we produced the album “NEON”, and in 1999 we put out our most complex and most sophisticated musical venture “MINDEN”, the visuals of which have won professional acclaim (The Oszkar Glatz Award – 1999, The Grand Prix of the Graphic Design Biannual Awards – 2000). The song “Interior” appeared on the German Firestation Tower Records international compilation album “You Thought it was the End of the World When the Rain Ruined Your Hair” in 2000. The band discontinued their activities in 2000, after which the former members continued their music careers in bands like Amber Smith and Óriás.
